Wild Game Hunting

Beginning decades ago with the very first time I visited Cinco, I was awed by the diversity of both the terrain and the wild things that inhabited that terrain. My philosophy is a simple one—create and maintain habitats for all species of wildlife on the ranch, allow the wildlife to flourish, and let visitors enjoy the wildlife for years to come.

Uniquely situated on the banks of the Rio Grande River with 8 miles of river footage, numerous lakes, and large and small stock tanks, Cinco Ranch is home to a variety of native Texas wildlife. Whitetail deer, wild hogs, javelina, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, rabbits, raccoons, as well as a variety of birds, snakes and smaller mammals all consider Cinco home.

As part of my job on the ranch, I introduce both new and returning guests to the wild side of Cinco Ranch. I’ve made my career in the hunting business and the entertainment side of the hunting business, and I’ll do my best to provide a truly unique and enjoyable visit.

Unless otherwise stated every hunt on the Cinco Ranch is a full service affair that includes the following services:

WHITETAIL DEER

We offer whitetail deer hunting using rifles, handguns, archery, crossbow, and black powder.

Cull Buck Hunts. These hunts are for inferior older buck deer that we want to remove from the herd. Typically, this is an animal that a hunter would not have mounted.
2-3 days of hunting
Includes one buck, one doe, one meat hog

Management Buck Hunts. These hunts are for any size slick 8-point deer that is 5 years old or older OR any buck that the guide clears you to harvest.
3 days of hunting
Includes one buck, one doe, one meat hog

Trophy Buck Hunt. Includes one trophy buck up to 150 Boone and Crockett (BC) points, one doe, one javelina, one hog, coyotes. Trophy fees apply for any buck over 150 BC points.
4 days of hunting
$4250 per person plus trophy fees

- $2250, 151-160 BC points
- $2750, 161-170 BC points
- $3500, 170+ BC points
Doe Hunt Only $175 per person per day plus $300 per doe harvested

PREDATOR HUNTING

We offer full service predator hunting for bobcat, coyote, and occasionally foxes. Typically, foxes and bobcats are hunted at night, and coyotes are hunted during the day. We have a healthy population of bobcats on the ranch. Pre-scouting is conducted prior to each bobcat hunt to locate the area to be hunted and the optimal time to hunt.

FISHING

We offer fishing for largemouth bass and catfish on some of our lakes and ponds. We have 15 to 18-foot aluminum, flat-bottomed boats that are equipped with either electric or small gasoline motors. We require catch-and-release on all bass, but catfish may be kept.
$200 per person per day, meals and lodging included.

We also offer Rio Grande River fishing for guests who prefer to bring their own boat and camp on the Rio Grande. We have an open camping area with electricity and overhead shelter.
